NMPRS Enter/ Twenter show successful for Stal Zegwaard!
Last June 29, the annual enter/twenter inspection of the Dutch Miniature Horse studbook was held again. Stal Zegwaard went there with 6 enters.
The small and only 70 cm high AMHA mare SZ Happy doll had to enter the ring first. She did very well and got a nice 1b premium. So the first premium of the day was in! Then the very luxurious Da Vinci offspring Da Vinci's Halo entered the ring, she also received a nice first premium and she was invited for the championship. The same happened with the elegant SZ Heartbreak Girl. We had 1 yearling stallion with us called SZ Da Vinci's Hummingbird. The jury was also very pleased with this finely built stallion and called him "a promise for the future!" SZ Da Vinci's Hummingbird also received a first premium and was invited for the championship.
Then came our “projects”. Stal Zegwaard is really known for breeding the smallest horses. So we always participate in the mini class, these are the horses that can measure up to 86 cm. Only now we started a year ago with a Hackney mare from a champion line. We want to breed with it to get even more movement and blood in our horses. We had this Hackney mare covered by our beautiful AMHA stallion Star's Tutankhamun and SZ Hello little one came out of that. SZ Hello little one now measures 93 cm and was allowed to participate in the small size class. This is new to us and actually the first time. SZ Hello little one trotted through the track like a true queen and received a first premium and was invited for the championship inspection. Then our second small size mare SZ Hollywood (88 cm) had to go, she is also a descendant of Star's Tutankhamun. The jury also invited SZ Hollywood to the championship judging and called her “a beautifully built mare who trots strongly through the track”. Proud of our projects!! All in all we had 6 horses with us and with all 6 a first premium and 5 of which were invited for the championship inspection!
