Over the years, Stal Zegwaard has grown into one of Europe's most famous breeding farms. All miniature horses come from the best bloodlines and breeding farms in the world. We regularly import new miniature horses to renew and improve our bloodlines.

The founder of Stal Zegwaard, Wim Zegwaard, imported several Falabellas from Argentina in the 1990s and purchased “Eqyptian Kings Special Effort”, founder of many successful bloodlines in the Netherlands, in America.

In 2015 there were more than 300 miniature horses in Rijswijk. At the moment there are 50 miniature horses in the stable, including the Falabella, AMHA (American Miniature Horse) and NMPRS (Dutch Mini Horse Registration Studbook) breeds.

In addition to breeding, Stal Zegwaard has a number of approved stallions. It is possible to bring your mare(s) so that they can be covered by a stallion of your choice. Every year several foals are born that meet the strictest requirements. As a result, the foals are loved worldwide and are sold all over the world. The foals come from approved mares and stallions. We also regularly go to shows and inspections with all our varieties to increase our premiums and brand awareness.

Priscilla Vonsée

Working since 2005

Responsible for studbook affairs, breeding, preparing for inspection and the purchase and sale of horses. In addition, she arranges all media matters.

Wendy van Arkelen

Working since 2006

Is super involved with the horses and ensures that everything in the stable stays tidy. Wendy can mainly be found at the location in Schipluiden.

Eva-Marije Eikelhof

Working since 2021

Works with all animals but knows best about goats and birds. In addition, she goes to shows and inspections.
